Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Bowden. Johnathan Bowden hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Johnathan Bowden sent off a good shot on target. Johnathan Bowden received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Day came out and tried to block the shot, but Johnathan Bowden slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abid Bubalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abid Bubalo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 25th minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Johnathan Bowden showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Johnathan Bowden sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of USA booed when Selebi-Phikwe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 39th minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 43rd minute of play. Johnathan Bowden was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob May to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 50th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathan Bowden to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Selebi-Phikwe got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lundqvist. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Christof Deroek in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 minutes Selebi-Phikwe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Monty Rogers who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice moves Sam Campbell could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Christof Deroek however easily saved by the left post. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Selebi-Phikwe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Monty Rogers was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to USA's Jacob May getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Selebi-Phikwe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jenson Smith took the corner. The corner led USA's Marco Baker to fire away a dangerous shot which Christof Deroek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sam Campbell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Christof Deroek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Selebi-Phikwe had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
