Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Bezerra in the 11th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Laerte Bezerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when São Paulo da Floresta's Sergio Rengifo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Murillo Monteiro hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodoro Jacinto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Teodoro Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after São Paulo da Floresta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodoro Jacinto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Laerte Bezerra hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Jacinto having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laerte Bezerra to make the kick off. Bem Bom lost his temper 51 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for São Paulo da Floresta! São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo da Floresta from getting a goal against them. Teodoro Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Rengifo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo da Floresta's goalkeeper Teodoro Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Teodoro Jacinto however easily saved by the left post. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Epifanio Cebrian hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Rengifo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Valério Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo da Floresta's protests and gave Valério Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. São Paulo da Floresta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mexico had controlled the match.
