Sporting Clube Patrício's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bento Souto in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Portugal made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Peru's Luz Tejedor made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademar Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ademar Azevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Antonio Tenorio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
