Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Mesías, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A collision led to Gebrüdersdorfer SV getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lionel Mesías hit a great ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Lionel Mesías. But to his dismay, Lionel Mesías quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo-Nicolas von der Putten made a kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 64 played minutes Gebrüdersdorfer SV got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Mesías. Rodrigo-Nicolas von der Putten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Valdo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lionel Mesías had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Mesías, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Tyszka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo-Nicolas von der Putten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dejan Attard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Camillo Di Pietro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gebrüdersdorfer SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Di Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislaw Tyszka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute.
