Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. Baltasar Felipillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Luis Iyan fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALAMBRE de PÚAS's protests and gave Luis Iyan a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fausto Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 15th minute of the match Luis Iyan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luis Iyan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ALAMBRE de PÚAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Iyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Bide. Fausto Bide yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Alberto Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ALAMBRE de PÚAS booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Peru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicolas Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Leonardo Peru made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in ALAMBRE de PÚAS's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Bide came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half ALAMBRE de PÚAS were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Peru to strike the kick off in the second half. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 58th minute of play forced ALAMBRE de PÚAS's goalkeeper Fausto Bide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Baltasar Felipillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 68th minute of play. Fausto Bide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Laffitte. Leonardo Peru had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alberto Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALAMBRE de PÚAS. Rogelio Cisco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Peru in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Laffitte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Laffitte could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
