Henrik Biörnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Fresta BK Väsby's Axel Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of play. After the first half Mexico were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Fresta BK Väsby supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
