USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute. In the 40th minute, 周南建 made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. USA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
