When Ciro Di Marzio came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Dulwich Hamlet BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Di Marzio couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the match Ciro Di Marzio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Dulwich Hamlet BK made a substitution. Magne Unesson replaced Einar Kullander. Dulwich Hamlet BK's Valentin Håkansson was substituted for Julian Dembkowski. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Røiland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dulwich Hamlet BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dulwich Hamlet BK's Niclas Haström got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Hedlund hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Niclas Haström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Kent Hedlund kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Venezuela players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Dulwich Hamlet BK from taking control.
