GD Fiães's Cassiano Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wojciech Pachucki in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Tobias Brites got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcin Bartelak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Brites, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wel Lidzbark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Telmo Teves was slow to take the kick. During this time GD Fiães's players had a chance to rest. Telmo Teves made a great header on GD Fiães's corner, it was just that Wel Lidzbark's Marcin Bartelak managed to reach the ball for a save. Cassiano Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Bejenaru in the 33rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Wel Lidzbark's Wojciech Pachucki got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
