In the 16th minute Michalis Aggelopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Iakovos Skarpathiotis made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, Chernolνtsa FC's Theofanis Mitseas got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michalis Aggelopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Valentinos Adamiadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iakovos Skarpathiotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Chernolνtsa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. When Eutichios Vlantis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Chernolνtsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eutichios Vlantis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Chernolνtsa FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venezuela.
