Sporting Chilcano's Armando Santotis got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Asier Abello's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asier Abello helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Armando Santotis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lizardi Montanez. Sporting Chilcano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Sporting Chilcano booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Sporting Chilcano's Armando Santotis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Armando Santotis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-1 in the 36 minute of play. Lizardi Montanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lizardi Montanez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The audience was convinced that Armando Santotis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asier Abello in the 50th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Armando Santotis made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Santotis in the 95th minute of play. The Sporting Chilcano fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Sporting Chilcano's Armando Santotis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sporting Chilcano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
