In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Kristoffer Jelm came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georg Godholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Cesario in the 19th minute of play. Georg Godholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georg Godholm came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kristoffer Jelm hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Cesario came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Cesario in the 41st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georg Godholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Shifen III getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Alf Fredriksson hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Melker Jokiranta made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Cesario in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Jacinto Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Georg Godholm however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Cesario in the 92nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
