Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sugih Linggawarman in the 9th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto Rodríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes SIMvergüenzas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Eliseo Mina scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beto Rodríguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Severino Encina with Olo Reina as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Sugih Linggawarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sugih Linggawarman in the 30th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Rodríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SIMvergüenzas's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, SIMvergüenzas's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Beto Rodríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beto Rodríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Peru booed when SIMvergüenzas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Encina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Rodríguez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Olo Reina kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sugih Linggawarman was the one to do the kick off. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SIMvergüenzas's goalie prevented a goal. Beto Rodríguez was a little too slow when Milagros Fraga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sugih Linggawarman in the 63rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sugih Linggawarman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Rodríguez having to interfere. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Beto Rodríguez made a huge save. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. SIMvergüenzas's Francesc Tamari was substituted for Sugih Linggawarman. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Bitănescu in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Nechifor Bitănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Severino Encina made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute of the match SIMvergüenzas got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lei Ling Zheng ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 85th minute Francesc Tamari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After 95 minutes SIMvergüenzas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
