After a defensive mix-up in Ku Kost IL's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans-Erik Isdal came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Hans-Erik Isdal managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Honduras's Luca Espinar got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjetil Christoffersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans-Erik Isdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luca Espinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 91st play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Hans-Erik Isdal and just under the crossbar into goal. Ku Kost IL's Hans-Erik Isdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
