The corner ended in Walery Wodaszak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Antoni Teofila yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 68 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoni Teofila. Myszków SSA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 73rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Teofila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Myszków SSA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Myszków SSA's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Teofila came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulryk Frankowski during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zbyszek Franzik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Antoni Teofila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
