Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Domingos Macena made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Moura to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Normando Neto got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitor Baia. Vitor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitor Baia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 19th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Macena in the 21st minute of the match. Efrain Moruga got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eliseo Noboa. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's attentive Cristóvão Vieira managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitor Baia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Vitor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Vitor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 45th minute of play. Vitor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 52nd minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Vitor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when F.C. Paços de Ferreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Costa Rica's Axel Tasis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitor Baia. That made the score 1-4 after 60 minutes of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Vitor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting a goal against them. Domingos Macena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when F.C. Paços de Ferreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. Vitor Baia was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Axel Tasis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Tasis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vitor Baia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
