Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Erivaldo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Öllsjö FC's Karl-Åke Håkansson got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Öllsjö FC were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Åke Håkansson took the corner. Macos Graciani's late challenge caught a Öllsjö FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Macos Graciani helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Öllsjö FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erivaldo Netto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 93 minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Öllsjö FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
