Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Rahmi Vala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Rahmi Vala came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adriano De Lellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adriano De Lellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hadi Tunç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hadi Tunç in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hadi Tunç, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Orbay Samin was slow to take the kick. During this time GÖZTEPE SK's players had a chance to rest. GÖZTEPE SK's Orbay Samin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by GÖZTEPE SK's Çelebi Selami. But to his dismay, Çelebi Selami quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano De Lellis was the one to do the kick off. Rahmi Vala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 62 minutes, Hadi Tunç made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 64 played minutes GÖZTEPE SK got a freekick which was hit by Obi Mikel. GÖZTEPE SK's Rahmi Vala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save GÖZTEPE SK from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Hadi Tunç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Obi Mikel charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Obi Mikel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. GÖZTEPE SK's Tevfik Özgunay was substituted for Iakovos Papadimas. A collision led to GÖZTEPE SK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Obi Mikel hit a great ball. Rahmi Vala made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 81 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rahmi Vala was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Şükrü Ahıska in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Adriano De Lellis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Adriano De Lellis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Mina lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Orbay Samin scored 3-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano De Lellis in the 95th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Şükrü Ahıska sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Despite being the better team, Venezuela failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
