An unexpectedly hard shot by Ganyo Salmov in the 5th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Antoan Mishev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 10 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krum Konsulov in the 17th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Опълченците's Krum Konsulov. But to his dismay, Krum Konsulov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Moises Fernandinos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Slaveyko Halov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25thth minute of the game Teofan Demerdzhiev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Kristiyan Bunev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Moises Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Опълченците was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krum Konsulov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. Antoan Mishev kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 72nd minute of play forced Опълченците's goalkeeper Slaveyko Halov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristiyan Bunev struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Опълченците. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Teofan Demerdzhiev took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Опълченците left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Salvador.
