Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by 孔磊傲. When Henning Ekström fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Brugge's protests and gave Henning Ekström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Panama booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Ekström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stein Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 8th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Brugge's 孔磊傲 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. 孔磊傲 took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when 孔磊傲 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 38th minute 孔磊傲 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Diederik Temmerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge's supporters rose to their feet, but Diederik Temmerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Stein Spoelberch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 孔磊傲 to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, 孔磊傲 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Panama's Abraham Alguacil in 60 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Stein Spoelberch guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 62 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stein Spoelberch. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. Stein Spoelberch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stein Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 78th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil shot from long distance in the 79th minute, but Stein Spoelberch was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Pieter Van Landewijck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Club Brugge's Jan-Simon Elsen was substituted for 孔磊傲. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Brugge's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tomas Berganza 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Brugge.
