Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Russi having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, Phenomena's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Donato Russi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phenomena's Donato Russi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Şahin Israfilov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andon Hristovski in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Russi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Andon Hristovski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phenomena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Donato Russi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Russi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Phenomena's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andon Hristovski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrico Pio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Russi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 43 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Russi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donato Russi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Honduras were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andon Hristovski to strike the kick off in the second half. Donato Russi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Honduras booed when Phenomena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Russi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Andon Hristovski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Phenomena made a substitution. Fausto Ragusa replaced Carlo Di Paola. Andon Hristovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Donato Russi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şahin Israfilov in the 89th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Phenomena's Şahin Israfilov made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fausto Ragusa hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
