Kelmond S.C.'s Pedrão Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 10th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kelmond S.C.'s Pedrão Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedrão Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Kelmond S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Pedrão Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gerrit Hooiveld came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Kelmond S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrit Hooiveld couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Kelmond S.C.'s Han ten Rouwelaar got a free kick in the 30th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martien Sandstra in the 33rd minute of play. Gerrit Hooiveld succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 42nd playminute. 47 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Pedrão Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a little luck, Kelmond S.C.'s Pedrão Sarmento got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gerrit Hooiveld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kelmond S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gerrit Hooiveld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrão Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 65th minute. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Pedrão Sarmento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mo Yang Chao to maneuver through the defense. After 84 minutes, Gerrit Hooiveld made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Sarmento having to interfere. In the 97th minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedrão Sarmento was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
