Miguel Teresa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Teresa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Miguel Teresa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Escribano went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Francisco Seco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miguel Teresa came out and tried to block the shot, but Francisco Seco slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 19th minute. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Maximiliano Escribano fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Maximiliano Escribano a yellow card for diving instead. SIMvergüenzas's Miguel Teresa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Marcial Lama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miguel Teresa. After a defensive mix-up in SIMvergüenzas's zone, Jaime Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Teresa came out of the goal and Jaime Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Miguel Teresa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boni Rojas struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SIMvergüenzas.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Ortiz made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, SIMvergüenzas's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Miguel Teresa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Teresa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Teresa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Ortiz in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 73rd minute. SIMvergüenzas's Miguel Teresa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Teresa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Luis Pena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the SIMvergüenzas defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Teresa. The SIMvergüenzas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Teresa should have stopped the shot. After 88 minutes of play, SIMvergüenzas's Luis Ortiz made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Camilo Covarrubias charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Covarrubias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Teresa having to interfere. There was no doubt that Uruguay were the better team. Uruguay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
