Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Crusaders's Humphrey Virgin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Todd Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Crusaders's Ernest Paddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ernest Paddle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ernest Paddle came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Todd Morrison during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Crusaders got a freekick which was hit by Todd Morrison. The attack was good, but when Luis Andino in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Crusaders getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Roy Keane hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crusaders's goalkeeper Ernest Paddle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernest Paddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernest Paddle. Crusaders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ernest Paddle came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Crusaders's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Paddle came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Camilo Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ernest Paddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Eustacio Astrada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Crusaders's Roy Keane got a free kick in the 61st minute. Crusaders's Nath Hislop was substituted for Todd Morrison. Roy Keane kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Keratomenos in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th play minute Felix Montenegro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ernest Paddle. 0-4. A collision led to Crusaders getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Porter Rishton hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Ernest Paddle however easily saved by the left post. After 77 minutes, Suavi Turhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crusaders and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Suavi Turhan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ernest Paddle made a huge save. In the 86th match minute, Crusaders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Astrada to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Crusaders throughout the match.
