The throw-in from Luis Andino in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.D. Turleque's Sergiu Socoriceanu. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Orbiz having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fortunato Orbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. Crispo Campello kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Epifanio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.D. Turleque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.D. Turleque throughout the match.
