In the 13th minute, Pawel Czarnecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play forced KP Opel Kamień's goalkeeper Mikolaj Anszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind KP Opel Kamień's goalkeeper Mikolaj Anszczak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Jurand Wolniewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The corner ended in Jose Correa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KP Opel Kamień's Mikolaj Anszczak did a great save. In the 33rd minute of the match Rigoberto Mina sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikolaj Anszczak skillfully saved the ball. Mikolaj Anszczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KP Opel Kamień's Patryk Ogrodowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mikolaj Anszczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 56 minutes, Florian Szostak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KP Opel Kamień and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacek Waldoch lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Jacek Waldoch kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Anszczak having to interfere. 65 minutes in the game Jurand Wolniewicz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mieszko Klocko. Patryk Ogrodowicz charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patryk Ogrodowicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, KP Opel Kamień's Patryk Ogrodowicz got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Patryk Ogrodowicz came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the KP Opel Kamień fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Ogrodowicz couldn't finish the play.
