After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Åke Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Elliot Norström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sun Lightfoot in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elliot Norström, 3-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Norström having to interfere. With a little luck, Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Elliot Norström got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elliot Norström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Manfred Näfver got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliot Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Sun Lightfoot made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Marcus Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elliot Norström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Calcio Brigate Rossonere's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliot Norström came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elliot Norström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Elliot Norström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sun Lightfoot. In the 60th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliot Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Jonny Vacker made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the game, Jonny Vacker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calcio Brigate Rossonere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Juan Sebastián Puig. After some careless play in the Calcio Brigate Rossonere defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elliot Norström. The Calcio Brigate Rossonere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elliot Norström should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils-Emil Jespersson in the 77th minute. Elliot Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute of play. Elliot Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elliot Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Sun Lightfoot got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Calcio Brigate Rossonere's Elliot Norström. Elliot Norström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
