When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of 魏鹰真. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, 中国小学生冠军联队's goalkeeper 魏鹰真 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by 中国小学生冠军联队's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 中国小学生冠军联队's 魏鹰真 did a great save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. 魏鹰真 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
