Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Onea started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Dinu Săvoiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinu Săvoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Onea in the 13th minute. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Săvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them.

The audience was convinced that Edgar Onea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Dinu Săvoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dinu Săvoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Călin Hulubei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Hulubei came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
