An unexpectedly hard shot by Miro Bezhanski in the 16th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borislav Drenkov in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ikonom Gerginov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. If Wladyslaw Modrzewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Borislav Drenkov came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damyan Kotevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miro Bezhanski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute of the match, Wladyslaw Modrzewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Damyan Kotevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Bezhanski in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ikonom Gerginov who took care of the corner kick. 60 minutes into the game, Miro Bezhanski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dobromir Bonkov charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dobromir Bonkov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wladyslaw Modrzewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Miro Bezhanski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Miro Bezhanski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miro Bezhanski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miro Bezhanski in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
