The Vetusta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 15th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Vetusta got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hanot Perdices ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vetusta's Hanot Perdices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vetusta's Ray De Lauw proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Vetusta from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Iosu Toxeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 45 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Quintas came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Vetusta's Ray De Lauw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 81st minute. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Vetusta made a substitution. Marco Palomar replaced Ascencio Quintas. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Vetusta were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hanot Perdices took the corner. The corner led Vetusta's Hanot Perdices to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Tenorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Peru supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vetusta's performance. The match ended with a win for Vetusta.
