The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Ender Tanacan in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38thth minute of the game Mateusz Matusiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 played minutes 1461 Trabzon got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Matusiak. Cesur Yesar kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After 70 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ender Tanacan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gazanfer Özcan Remiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1461 Trabzon's supporters rose to their feet, but Gazanfer Özcan Remiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 80th minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ender Tanacan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ender Tanacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mexico fans cheered their team off the field, for while 1461 Trabzon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
