It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Brow Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Witwicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Igor Siekierski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 45th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Siekierski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Czeslaw Tipinski made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Brow Team's Czeslaw Tipinski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brow Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kryspin Owsiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Brow Team's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Igor Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Siekierski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle went the supporters of Brow Team were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
