The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Πυργετός Fc got a freekick which was hit by Justin Groth. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cristian Sancho sped through Πυργετός Fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zisis Vourlis. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ilias Gouziotis kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Wit Zapolski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wit Zapolski got free with Julio Vera in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zisis Vourlis. Zisis Vourlis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zisis Vourlis narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wit Zapolski made a kick off. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Zisis Vourlis however easily saved by the left post. Zisis Vourlis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Πυργετός Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Trifu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zisis Vourlis made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Wit Zapolski took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Zapolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Πυργετός Fc's Zisis Vourlis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 70th minute of play. Wit Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wit Zapolski in the 75th minute of the match. Wit Zapolski might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wit Zapolski ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wit Zapolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79thth minute of the game Wit Zapolski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Πυργετός Fc's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zisis Vourlis came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Πυργετός Fc throughout the match.
