Valeriu Floricel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Valeriu Floricel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Valeriu Floricel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. In the 21st minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valeriu Floricel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 22 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Valeriu Floricel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 25th minute. Paralia Athens's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano scored to the left of an out of position Valeriu Floricel, making the score, 2-0. Valeriu Floricel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 34th minute of play. Valeriu Floricel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Francisco Seco sped through Paralia Athens's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valeriu Floricel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Valeriu Floricel in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Francisco Seco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionel Martinaș to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valeriu Floricel. Valeriu Floricel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After 56 minutes, Bruno Beldad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Paralia Athens players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Valeriu Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Valeriu Floricel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valeriu Floricel. Valeriu Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Valeriu Floricel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Escribano went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Valeriu Floricel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valeriu Floricel. Valeriu Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Valeriu Floricel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valeriu Floricel. Valeriu Floricel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. After some careless play in the Paralia Athens defense, Alberto Gisbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valeriu Floricel. The Paralia Athens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valeriu Floricel should have stopped the shot. Valeriu Floricel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Bruno Beldad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valeriu Floricel. Paralia Athens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Beldad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. Valeriu Floricel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uruguay had played much better football throughout.
