Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Paralia Athens's Ionel Martinaș started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Iordache Ţugui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriu Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriu Floricel having to interfere. Valeriu Floricel came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 35 minutes into the match Ilie Tudoran dribbled himself free with the goalkeeper and finished off with shooting in 1-1 passed Jonathan Ferrant next to the left post. Valeriu Floricel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Paralia Athens's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valeriu Floricel came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, one of Paralia Athens:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valeriu Floricel had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Paralia Athens players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paralia Athens! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Valeriu Floricel. Tomas Illescas scored 1-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valeriu Floricel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 70 minutes, Iordache Ţugui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Iordache Ţugui got a free kick in the 70th minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valeriu Floricel having to make a save. Iordache Ţugui hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valeriu Floricel. Valeriu Floricel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Gelu Beșliu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valeriu Floricel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
