Luis Andino scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Miu in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvard Lange's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Clementsson in the 47th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Sigvard Lange tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Skånes stolthet!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigvard Lange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Bergqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skånes stolthet!'s goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Timmy Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. David Accam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Hugo Bergqvist made a huge save. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, David Accam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Clementsson in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes Skånes stolthet! got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Clementsson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timmy Clementsson in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Accam in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game David Accam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Clementsson in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
