Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Uribe went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 9 minutes Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Mihnea Plăcintă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match USA got a corner. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Cassius Byrne fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mihnea Plăcintă quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute, Siro Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Siro Llorienzo hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Luisinho Uribe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Day. The goal made the score 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Luisinho Uribe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Uribe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciriaco Selmo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Plăcintă having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Cassius Byrne fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mihnea Plăcintă, passed just outside the right post. In the 64th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sam Campbells short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Mihnea Plăcintă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 74th minute Jenson Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 made a substitution. Juanfran Villalcazar replaced Victorio Otoniel. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Uribe in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Quintin Gomar took the corner. 84 minutes into the game, Sergio Cano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. Khalid Parry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Truylos Gonzalez was substituted for Luisinho Uribe. Sam Campbell might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihnea Plăcintă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sam Campbell ran back to his position shaking his head. Mihnea Plăcintă made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. Khalid Parry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Plăcintă having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sam Campbell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mihnea Plăcintă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute USA were awarded a corner. Jenson Smith went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalie and right to Marco Baker. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
