The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Hoya scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of C.A.JORGOVAN booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avelino Canal made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valdemar Velasco however managed to control. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Gonzalo Hoya sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Lope in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Isidoro Honesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Miguel Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Lope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.JORGOVAN made a substitution. Godfredo Mikeldi replaced Valdemar Velasco. C.A.JORGOVAN's Per-Åke Johansson was substituted for Miguel Lope. 68 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.JORGOVAN the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute of the match Godfredo Mikeldi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Per-Åke Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Honesto came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A.JORGOVAN's Eustacio Beliran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.JORGOVAN from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Isidoro Honesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.JORGOVAN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 91st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Bermund in the 95th minute of play. C.A.JORGOVAN's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
