When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. When Kees Koole came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Revenge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kees Koole couldn't finish the play. Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Revenge's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. That made the score 1-2 after 94 minutes of play. The Revenge supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Revenge would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
