Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexei Perju was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Canor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexei Perju in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Alexei Perju left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GÜMELİSPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexei Perju stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Esteve Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot. GÜMELİSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Canor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GÜMELİSPOR's Ferid Yalap was substituted for Esteve Canor. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexei Perju in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match GÜMELİSPOR got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrea Serra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to GÜMELİSPOR getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Reuben Cefai hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vecdi Yurday. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. GÜMELİSPOR's Vecdi Yurday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. If Ulvi Oğuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hakkı Paşa made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alexei Perju. After 84 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. In the 88th minute, one of GÜMELİSPOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GÜMELİSPOR. Tomas Illescas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferid Yalap's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vecdi Yurday saved GÜMELİSPOR from getting behind. Alexei Perju blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Alexei Perju could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GÜMELİSPOR were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
