In the 14th minute, Raymond Schouten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Ciccio Tacconi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. If 盛世 高文竞 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 盛世 高文竞 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciccio Tacconi made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Ciccio Tacconi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Ciccio Tacconi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Miralles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NFC Eagles 22's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ted Jansen in the 38th minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Abraham Alguacil scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciccio Tacconi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 盛世 高文竞. In the 61st minute, 盛世 高文竞 made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 63 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Miguel Miralles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Tacconi having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Emil Houwing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NFC Eagles 22 and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, NFC Eagles 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Houwing to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, NFC Eagles 22's 盛世 高文竞 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ciccio Tacconi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 75th minute of play. Ciccio Tacconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NFC Eagles 22's Jeroen Heerckes was substituted for Emil Houwing. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, 盛世 高文竞 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jose Carita got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Miguel Miralles. The NFC Eagles 22 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NFC Eagles 22 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
