Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Stiinta-Univ.'s Okan Koc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Crețu. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Crețu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Fraga ran back to his position shaking his head. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Ming Sheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Ming Sheng's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Shi Ming Sheng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Noboa. The goal made the score 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Tomasz Gacek got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Okan Koc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 46 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Kachamakov. Stiinta-Univ.'s Valeriu Morovan was substituted for Okan Koc. Stiinta-Univ.'s Șerban Rușanu was substituted for Virgil Oargă. In the 50th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Stiinta-Univ.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru's Alonso Berganza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Crețu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Viteazul Flore hit a great ball. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Crețu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Șerban Rușanu, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Martin Crețu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 85th minute of play. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Gacek to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 91st minute, Tomasz Gacek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Shi Ming Sheng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stiinta-Univ. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Valeriu Morovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Viteazul Flore hit a great ball. Martin Crețu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 100th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eliseo Mina. Stiinta-Univ. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peru for a fine match.
