Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Valeriu Morovan made the kick off which started today's match. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shi Ming Sheng went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 8thth minute of the game Valeriu Morovan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Monty Rogers took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Martin Crețu to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valeriu Morovan in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Stiinta-Univ.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Virgil Oargă in the 20th minute. Virgil Oargă made a great header on Stiinta-Univ.'s corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Morovan in the 22nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Crețu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valeriu Morovan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Martin Crețu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomasz Gacek came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Stiinta-Univ. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomasz Gacek couldn't finish the play. Stiinta-Univ.'s Șerban Rușanu was substituted for Virgil Oargă. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Viteazul Flore. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Monty Rogers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Crețu quite easily take care of the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Ming Sheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 77th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Tomasz Gacek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomasz Gacek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Stiinta-Univ.'s Okan Koc got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Khalid Parry made a precise shot to the right of Martin Crețu. Stiinta-Univ.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of USA booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Gacek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute of the match Jenson Smith sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Crețu skillfully saved the ball.
