In the 71st minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC CSKA's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnulfo Roderigo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th minute, Luz Tejedor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Velinov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. FC CSKA made a substitution. Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
