When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Steelares FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eloy Gartxot. Eloy Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 79th minute of play. Steelares FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Sebastian Villa scored to the left of an out of position Eloy Gartxot, making the score, 0-3. Steelares FC made a substitution. Silvestre Adrio replaced Blas Bernabel. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Silvestre Adrio with Nicasio Barea as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Honduras booed when Steelares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position.
