Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 袁翔邦 having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 袁翔邦 saved 绝代双骄—梅罗 from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with 袁翔邦 in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Pardo in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 袁翔邦, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. 袁翔邦 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Jaime Pardo sped through 绝代双骄—梅罗's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 袁翔邦. 绝代双骄—梅罗's 袁翔邦 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 30th minute of play. 袁翔邦 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 31st minute. 袁翔邦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 32nd minute of play. 袁翔邦 made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes, Jaime Pardo made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. 绝代双骄—梅罗's 袁翔邦 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The attack was good, but when Hector Covarrubias in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute of the game Raul Venegas made a throw-in which Hector Covarrubias played forward. Jose Sanz made in the 45th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hector Covarrubias however managed to control. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. 袁翔邦 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Pardo went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 54th minute of play forced 绝代双骄—梅罗's goalkeeper 袁翔邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 袁翔邦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Hector Covarrubias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 袁翔邦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 袁翔邦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The supporters of 绝代双骄—梅罗 booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 82nd minute of play forced 绝代双骄—梅罗's goalkeeper 袁翔邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Covarrubias might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 袁翔邦. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Covarrubias ran back to his position shaking his head. 绝代双骄—梅罗's 袁翔邦 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 95th minute of play. 袁翔邦 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 96th minute of the match. Paraguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
