If Orlando Casaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Dragons AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Lorenzo Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Dragons AFC's Prime Hock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Prime Hock received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thiago Pliego came out and tried to block the shot, but Prime Hock slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Lorenzo Beckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Dragons AFC's Lorenzo Beckman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match, Jo-Wilfried Schouten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 40 played minutes Dragons AFC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Eneto. Dragons AFC's Nicasio Gomesano was substituted for Natalio Eneto. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Prime Hock came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Dragons AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prime Hock couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 67th minute of play forced Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
