In the 3rd minute, 『挑战者』夔门FC's 谢城傲 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. La 李南南's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when La 李南南 got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13thth minute of the game 谢城傲 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play forced 『挑战者』夔门FC's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Per-Erik Hjortberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Erik Hjortberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the 『挑战者』夔门FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 『挑战者』夔门FC's Per-Erik Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, 『挑战者』夔门FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Per-Erik Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers La 李南南 in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Erik Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes 『挑战者』夔门FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. 狄卫响 tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Per-Erik Hjortberg. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 34th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Erik Hjortberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 柯克政 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-1 when 谢城傲 sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Erik Hjortberg having to interfere. Guillermo Mariano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that 谢城傲's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, 谢城傲 made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by La 李南南 in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, 『挑战者』夔门FC could leave the field as winners, despite Venezuela having more of the ball for most of the match.
