An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Claudinho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Keszi Athletic's Hugó Révész sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Hugó Révész fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Hugó Révész had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Kutnjak's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Kutnjak helped the player get up and apologised. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hugó Révész struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keszi Athletic. Primitivo Andino made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cristian Sancho. Claudinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of the match. Gábor Hellinger charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gábor Hellinger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugó Révész to strike the kick off in the second half. Gábor Hellinger kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Keszi Athletic's Márton Lengyel was substituted for Özkan İlhan. 于平辰 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Keszi Athletic's 于平辰 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Gábor Hellinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 于平辰 scored 2-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Primitivo Andino made in the 77th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. 79 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinho Taffarel, 2-3. In the 85th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keszi Athletic were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquilino Castelo Branco took the corner. The corner led Keszi Athletic's Aquilino Castelo Branco to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 于平辰's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, 于平辰 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 于平辰 in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Keszi Athletic throughout the match.
